Four shapes for a colorful batch.

Round cups give a familiar cupcake shape. Rectangular, square and flower-shaped cups make a change for small cakes and desserts. Individual molds also let you arrange a smaller batch on a supporting tray. Compare cup dimensions with your existing muffin tin if you plan to nest them inside it.

  • Set the cups on a level tray before filling.
  • Different shapes can need different baking times.
  • Wash and dry each cup before stacking it away.

Before your first batch

What is the difference between reinforced and flexible pans?

Reinforced models have a metal frame around the rim. Fully flexible pans bend more easily and need a baking sheet beneath them before filling. Both use silicone cups.

Do I need a baking sheet under silicone?

Use a supporting baking sheet beneath a fully flexible pan before you add the mixture. It gives you a firm base when carrying the batch. Follow the instructions for your specific reinforced model too.

Can I use the same time as a metal pan?

Silicone and metal can bake differently. Start with your recipe’s instructions, check doneness and record any adjustments for the pan and oven you use.
